FAQs

What shoes should I wear?

At the beginning just about any shoe is fine, as long as it’s secure on your foot. As you continue with your dancing you’ll want to consider buying ballroom dance shoes, as they are designed to have the correct friction for wooden floors and support your foot correctly.

What clothes should I wear?

We’re not pretentious here, so whatever you’re comfortable with and can move freely in is great. We’d probably advise against jeans for that reason but otherwise trousers, skirt, dress, activewear and specific dancewear is all fine.

Do you run children’s classes?

We plan to start them soon. Contact us to register your interest, and you’ll be the first to know when they’re starting

How fit do you need to be to dance?

Dancing is great for all fitness levels, and it’s a great way to stay in shape. If you have medical needs that may impact you taking a dance class, please consult with your doctor before starting classes.

Do I need a partner?

No partner is required to attend our classes. If you do have someone you’d like to dance with however, you’re more than welcome to bring them along and dance with them in the classes.
